The Maltron left-handed one-hand keyboard – AZERTY (FR) is designed for users who operate their computer with their left hand. Its special ergonomic layout keeps letters, numbers and important functions within easy reach of one hand and is suitable for French-language use at home, at work or during rehabilitation.

Maltron Left-Handed One-Hand Keyboard – AZERTY (FR)

Are you unable to use your right hand or arm, or can you only use it to a limited extent? With the Maltron Left-Handed One-Hand Keyboard – AZERTY (FR), you can operate letters, numbers and important computer functions using your left hand. The keyboard is designed for both private users and professional workplaces that require a suitable adaptation.

The French version includes the characters needed for French-language texts. This makes the keyboard suitable for administration, study, email, word processing and everyday computer use.

A keyboard designed for one-handed use

On a standard keyboard, the keys are divided between both hands. When typing only with your left hand, you often have to reach across a wide area. The Maltron left-handed one-hand keyboard features a curved, concave key field that follows the natural movement of the left hand.

The letters and functions are deliberately positioned differently from those on a traditional French keyboard. This keeps frequently used keys within easy reach, so you do not have to move continuously across a wide keyboard.

French layout with a special Maltron key arrangement

This model is designed for French-language use and includes French letters, accents and punctuation marks, such as é, è, à, ç and ù. The layout differs from a standard AZERTY keyboard because Maltron has arranged the keys specifically for operation with the left hand only.

A short adjustment period is therefore normal. With regular practice, you will gradually become more familiar with the key positions. The Maltron left-handed one-hand keyboard is designed for one-handed touch typing.

Enter key combinations one after another

Shift, Control and Alt feature a push-on/push-off function. First press the required function key and then the corresponding letter or command key. This means the keys do not have to be held down at the same time, making common key combinations easier to perform with one hand.

At home, the keyboard can help you continue working, studying and communicating independently. For employers, occupational therapists, workplace specialists and rehabilitation professionals, it can be a practical solution when creating an individually adapted workstation.

Complete your adapted workstation

A suitable keyboard is only one part of a well-designed workstation. Also pay attention to your sitting posture, monitor height and mouse position. Combine the keyboard, for example, with an ergonomic mouse and an adjustable monitor arm to better adapt the workstation to your body and daily tasks.

Can I operate the keyboard entirely with my left hand?

Yes. This model is specifically designed for use with the left hand only. Letters, numbers, navigation keys and important functions are included in the one-handed layout.

How do Shift, Control and Alt work with one hand?

These keys have a push-on/push-off function. You activate Shift, Control or Alt first and then press the second key. The keys do not need to be held down at the same time.
